 Amavasya festival In Chitrakoot  

 Amavasya festival - Ram bhakta Goswami Tulsidasji - received the Darshan of Era 1607, Mauni Amavasya of the month of Magha on Wednesday, including Lord Sri Rama and brother Lakshmanji and mother Janaki. 

 Since then, this tradition is prevalent, that every month, on the new moon day,lakhs of devotees take bath in the Ramghat and circumambulate Sri Bhagavan Kamadgiri (Kamadnath).
