Sarbhang Rishi Ashram
Sarbhang Rishi Ashram: At 65 km from Chitrakoot, this Sarbhang Rishi Ashram is situated on an extremely inaccessible road. To come here one has to come from a colony called Majhgawan, situated in the middle of Satna-Chitrakoot road.
There is also a railway station here. we has to travel about 20 km by the train.you can also come here by private vehicle.
The sage Sarbhang had shown the bones and skeletons of the sages, ascetics who were killed by the demons and then Lord Rama had promised to kill the demons.
Asthi samooh dekhi raghu raama ,
Poochhee muninh laagi ati daaya ।
Jaanat hoon poochhiy qat svaamee ,
Sab darasee tum antarayaamee।
Nisichar nikar sakal muni khaaye ,
Suni raghuveer nayan jal chhaaye ।
Nisichar heen karau mahi , Bhuj uthaay pan keenh .
Sakal muninh ke aashram , Jai jai sukh deenh.
There were other places of sage in this Chitrakoot Pilgrimage, which was recognized as a pilgrimage place, but due to lack of restoration, many such places have often disappeared. For example, Sri Sutakshana Ashram, Shri Agatsya Rishi Ashram, Brahmakund, Panch Prayag, Pap Mochini Shila , Suryakund ,Shri Vasistha Ashram ViradhKund etc.
such places have disappeared. Apart from that it does not exist, there are some other places which are in the deep uninhabited forest.
It is not possible for tourists and devotees to reach there, so they are not being described.
