Mandakini - Payashravani - Gayatri Sangam Raghav Prayag at Chitrakoot

Mandakini - Payashravani - Gayatri Sangam Raghav Prayag at Chitrakoot :

Mandakini - Payashravani - Gayatri Sangam Raghav Prayag - There is a confluence of three holy rivers Mandakini - Payashravani (Paiswani) - Gayatri at this holy site.
It is also called Raghav Prayag Ghat. It is said that Shri Raghav, that is, Shri Rama, had PindyaDan (The offering of libations of water to the gods) his father Maharaj Dasharatha here.
In the mythological description, the importance of this place is considered more than the pilgrimage of Prayag. It is said that in Magh month (Hindu month ),
on the seventh day of Shukla Paksha (Achala Saptami), the pilgrimage Prayagraj ji himself comes here to bathe. By sacrificing the sin of sinners throughout the year,
they purify their unholy bodies by bathing on this day, because Mandakini is the devouring of the sin group, and is virtuous. This is the evidence described in Ramayana.
